The Mines Strictly guarded, the mines are efficiently operated by the mining families. There's a certain prestige to being a miner, a hardness developed with a pickaxe. Families all around the ring operate their own mines and it's sold throughout Nuavia. Mining families are wealthy, their workers tend to be at the lower economic class. |

The "Slums" - 1 Viewing The "Slums" are the residential districts at the base of the mountain. The mining families live here in comfort while the overlooked live in poverty, committing crimes, dealing forms of opium and doing what they can to get by in a country moving on without them. Some mining families try to improve their districts, most just see the squalor as cheap labor. |
